In the heart of the 8th arrondissement of Paris, Studio NOCC designed all the pieces of furniture for the reception room by Mme Nelly Rodi housing part of her collection exceptional works of art and furniture.
Dialoguing with a cabinet of Carlo Bugatti, and parts of Ettore Sottsass, of Gaetano Pesce or even of César, face two generous sofas with curved and welcoming lines.
A bench with a hybrid typology delimits the space reception while framing the coffee table. The base of the coffee table is made from “Bricola” by 300 years from the mooring poles of the lagoon of Venice. The top, in Roman travertine was made by exceptional Italian craftsmen, in a so-called “Antique” finish.
Like a game of balance and superposition of shapes and materials, the wood seems to take the imprint of the stone. This ship-like table sits on a colorful carpet blue representing the seas on the far side of the Moon and thus invites exploration.
