By imagining the restaurant Il Monello, Studio NOCC sought to transcribe the light and textures of southern Italy in the very Parisian 16th arrondissement.

Its large glazed facade connects the terrace and the Place du Gros-la-Fontaine market with its interior space and its kitchen opened.
The artisanal terracotta of the floor takes up the ocher of the lime of the ceiling complementing the color ranges more clear from the mineral coating of the walls and the terrazzo of the bar.
The composition of copper mirrors in the room as well as the mosaic
aged mirrors at the back of the bar bring back light and warm textures.

From his name “Il Monello”, “le garnement” in French, the Studio NOCC drew inspiration for the frescoes adorning the pendant lights; a nod to the construction beams Mediterranean (illustration by Shannon Honniball).
There are also traces of the DIY rascal in the bicycle handles installed on the chairs or in the objects decorating the niche of the room.
